Message From Mr. RapierDear Panther Community, Welcome back from Fall Break. We hope you all had some rest and relaxation. We are excited to kick off 2nd quarter. As a reminder, you can check your student's portal for their 1st quarter grades. We encourage students to start off each quarter with a fresh mindset. If they didn't meet their goals, they can start new this quarter. As always, if you have questions regarding your student's grades, feel free to contact their teacher via email and they will respond. We also want to reiterate the importance of daily, on time attendance to school. This helps students maintain their confidence in doing their best each day. Please read through this week's update for more information.

Shout out to Poston's Student Council, teachers, and parent volunteers who helped make our first quarter PAWS Party a huge success! Students, keep working hard to ensure you can go to the second quarter PAWS Party before Winter Break.
To be eligible to attend a PAWS Party, students must:
- Be passing all classes
- Have no office referrals
- Not have excessive tardies to classes

Student Device ResponsibilitiesAs a reminder, students are responsible for the condition of their school issued laptop and charger. Students should be completely turning off their computer and charging it overnight. If you haven’t already done so, you can purchase a device protection plan for the laptop. At this point, the plan will only cover the current condition of the device and will require an inspection prior to approval for the plan.

Delivery and drop off of items for students. We recognize that there may be times when parents need to drop off items for students. We ask that parents plan on dropping off the item, labeling it, and logging it in on the log form. Students are responsible for checking with the front office to pick up their item. Due to the many tasks that the front office must do in a given day, they are not available to call students out immediately to pick up their items.
We also ask that items being dropped off be limited to school essential items, money for lunch, or lunch for your student. Please refrain from having food delivered by a delivery service, items to celebrate birthdays or other special occasions, or food for multiple students. We are unable to provide delivery of such items. Please refer to the student handbook found in the PAWS planner for more information regarding student deliveries. |
Parent pick up and drop offPlease use the south parking lot off of 25th street for on campus pick up and drop off. Please leave the north parking lot for staff parking and access for front office business. You may also pick up and drop off your student on Adobe, 25th street, and surrounding streets.
